Hi, I’m Austin and yes I am a girl. There are only a few of us in the world and I have only met one other “girl Austin” in my 27 years of living thus far.
I am married to a handsome, funny, lighthearted, pastor named John Allen, who is also referred to as "JAM". We have two boys, Layton & Keller. Layton is 3 and a snuggler. He is sweet & tenderhearted, gravitates to anything outdoors, is obsessed with Thomas the Train, and loves glazed donuts as well as our dog Grace. Keller is 9 months old and is my chill-laid back child. He goes with the flow, adores his brother, has a 2 tooth gummy smile that melts me every time, and is in to everything.
Above ALL else, Jesus Christ is my Savior. I have a relationship with Him and long for “the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart to be acceptable to Him...” every. single. day. Some days it’s not because I’m sinful and human and nothing without Him. He is “my rock and my redeemer.” (Psalm 19:14)
I love the Goodwill Outlet, also known in my circle of friends as the "Gross Goodwill" (yes it’s different than Goodwill), tinted chapstick, and purple fingernail polish. I would rather dress down than up, eat vanilla over chocolate, and am a sucker for the Target $1 or $3 hotspot isle. It gets me every time.
My prayer is that this blog is a place that makes much of Jesus. I do not have it all together and never will, yet in spite of all of my mishaps, the Lord is faithful.
